Old Navy Haul!

This past week, I got sucked in once again to online shopping. Normally I never shop online at Old Navy, but these were some deals I found that I just couldn't pass up! All of their clothing online are usually reduced quite a bit, but being the bargain hunter that I am, I managed to get an extra 20% off and $20 in Super Cash! Now that's a deal!

I needed a new pair of active wear shorts and found them in stores in a size medium (M). Old Navy was having a deal where all active wear shorts were $8. I consider myself lucky to have even found a M among all the XL and XXL sizes left. On the shorts trend, I found a pair of canvas shorts in an olive colour. What I love about these shorts is how airy and lightweight they feel! Absolutely perfect to style on summer days!

Active Side-Mesh Running Shorts (3") - $6.40 (Orig. $18.94)
Linen-Blend Shorts (3 1/2") - $12.00 (Orig. $22.94)

I've heard amazing reviews about Old Navy's Rockstar jeans. Considering I haven't been jean shopping in over 2 years, I snagged these once I saw the price! I also found a canvas vest that I absolutely adore! Maybe pair it with a black and white stripped shirt, black skinnies, some flats and a statement necklace?

Canvas Drawstring Vest - $16.00 (Orig. $32.94)
The Rockstar Mid-Rise Super Skinny Jeans - $7.99 (Orig. $39.50)

Lastly I found a dress with a print I would not normally find myself wearing. I thought this snakeskin dress might look cute with some black booties, and a statement necklace... or maybe a big floppy hat.  ;)

3/4-Sleeve Shift Dress - $10.39 (Orig. $32.94)

In love with my new purchases and I know I'll get some good wear out of these pieces! Can't wait to share how I style them!

....For now, giving them a new home in my closet! :)

M.A.C, Estée Lauder... Warehouse Sale!

Four times a year, Estée Lauder holds an incredible sale at the Markham Fairgrounds. Unfortunately, you do need a ticket in order to enter (I scored tickets through my friend's mom), but I've seen many people try to sell their tickets online -- try Kijiji!

This was my first time going and I had the best time! Some popular brands I saw were: M.A.C Cosmetics, Estée Lauder, Origins, CLINIQUE, Bumble and Bumble, DKNY, Michael Kors, Smashbox, and Bobbi Brown!

Here's what I ended up buying!
Origins Drink Up- Intensive Overnight Mask - $15
CLINIQUE Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion - 2 for $20
M.A.C. Cosmetics Cleanse-Off Oil - $18
Origins Zero Oil Deep Pore Cleanser - $15
Estée Lauder Double Wear Foundation - $12
M.A.C. Cosmetics PRO Longwear Eye Shadow in 'Always Sunny' - Free Gift

In terms of prices, I've heard they increase every year...but one thing I noticed was that they do many bundles. For instance, CLINIQUE dramatically different moisturizing lotion - 2 for $20, COACH Poppy Perfume - 2 for $50, M.A.C Cosmetics eyeshadow quads - 2 for $20.

All blushes and eyeshadows were $15 each.

Brushes ranged from $10-$45 each.

All lipsticks and lipglosses were $10 each.

All foundations and mascaras were $12 each. Concealers were $9 each.

There were also Smashbox palettes that ranged from $30-$70.

All M.A.C nail lacquers were Buy 1 Get 1 Free at $9 each.

I did end up going on the last day of the sale to purchase more goodies. I picked up two more products!

CLINIQUE Even Better Concealer in 'Chamois'- $9
Smashbox Lip Enhancing Gloss in 'Pop' - $10 (Org. $18)

Hopefully you have a clearer picture of the sale now! They accept Debit, Visa, or Cash so not to worry!
If you ever get a chance to see this sale for yourself, here are some tips to make your shopping experience more enjoyable:
  1. Always bring a pen with you. All face and eye makeup are taped to a table with a specific number on it. If you want a particular shade, they have little square papers for you to write the number down on so that you can give it to employees who will retrieve it for you.
  2. Bring makeup wipes. There's only so many places you can test foundations or lip colours on your hand!
  3. Refrain from wearing big purses. Did I mention this is a warehouse sale? There are tons of people testing and grabbing products. Wear something small so that you can maneuver around the crowd easily!

Looking forward to the next sale! For now, I'm storing my debit card away and giving it a rest ;).
